TV on my 24" Dell Monitor

I have 24" Dell Monitor and I noticed that it has composite, component, and s-video inputs. I want to watch cable tv (coax) on one of these inputs and I don't want to buy a TV tuner. What would be the easiest way to get the TV picture to the monitor and the TV sound to my sound card? I don't want to sacrifice picture quality either.

 Thanks in advance

The easiest way would be to use an old VCR. Plug your TV cable into the VCR and then use the composite cables from the VCR to hook into your monitor. This will work for standard definition. Alternatively you can use a newer DVD Recorder that has a built in tuner. It will have S-Video out... You should also be able to use an HDTV or standard definition set top box.

Hope this helps...
